How we work

Eight steps, no mystery

The same process runs on a $320 consultation and a $40,000 renovation — the difference is how many of the steps apply.

  1. 01

    Free intro call, 20 minutes

We ask what the room is for, what you have already tried and what the budget looks like. If we are not the right studio, we say so and usually name someone who is.

  2. 02

    Site visit & survey

We measure everything, photograph everything and open every cupboard. For remote clients this happens over video with a measuring template we send you.

  3. 03

    Fixed-fee proposal

A written scope: deliverables, timeline, fee and what is excluded. Nothing starts until you sign it and pay the first instalment.

  4. 04

    Concept & layout

Two layout options, a materials board with real samples, and honest pricing bands for each direction. One round of revisions is included at this stage.

  5. 05

    Drawings & schedules

Plans, elevations, lighting, joinery details and the full purchase schedule with lead times, prices and alternates for anything at risk of discontinuation.

  6. 06

    Ordering & tracking

You approve the schedule. We place orders, chase freight, inspect deliveries at our Pine Street unit and store items until install day.

  7. 07

    Installation

Our team plus your trades, usually one to three days. Furniture placed, art hung, lighting aimed, packaging removed and recycled.

  8. 08

    Walkthrough & snag list

We walk the house with you, write down everything that is not right and fix it. Thirty days later we check in once more.

What we need from you

  • Access to the space, or good photos and measurements
  • A budget range — even a rough one saves weeks
  • Decisions inside five business days at approval points
  • Direct contact with your builder or contractor, if you have one

What can go wrong

Freight damage, discontinued fabric and walls that are not square. All three happen on most projects. We plan alternates for anything with a lead time over eight weeks and we tell you the same day something slips — not at the next scheduled call.

Start with a conversation, not a contract

Tell us about the room, the budget you have in mind and how you use the space. We reply to every enquiry within one business day.
