We want sworharts.com to be usable by everyone, including people who browse with a keyboard, a screen reader or magnification.

Standard we aim for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. This site was built and reviewed against that standard, though we do not claim perfect conformance on every page.

What we have done

• Semantic headings, landmarks and a skip link on every page
• Visible focus outlines and full keyboard operation, including the menu and cookie banner
• Text contrast checked against a 4.5:1 minimum for body copy
• Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images; decorative images marked as such
• Motion and animation reduced automatically when your system requests reduced motion
• Forms with real labels, required-field marking and status messages announced to assistive technology

Known limitations

Some older project photographs have shorter alternative text than we would like, and PDFs sent to clients are not always tagged. We are working through both.

Our studio

The Pine Street studio has step-free entry at the side door and an accessible restroom. Let us know in advance if you need anything specific for a visit.
